About our Playing Cards
Images-n-Stuff playing cards are printed on specialty card-stock containing an embedded layer of mylar inside to ensure that every card is truly opaque. After all, it’s hard to bluff when your opponent can read your cards through the back, and most photo playing cards don’t have this feature. Each card deck is printed using an HP Indigo 5000, considered by most to be the best electrostatic press available, with vastly superior color rendition compared to the color copiers most manufacturers use. Cards are then coated on both sides with an ultraviolet protective coating to provide waterproofing and durability, as well as providing the right texture and slipperiness for shuffling and dealing. These cards are then precisely die-cut to 2.5x3.5 inches (standard size poker deck) using a hydraulic punch-press, and packaged in a clear polyethylene case for shipping and storage. Each card deck includes 54 cards - 4 suits of 13 cards each plus 2 Jokers.
Most photo playing card decks are novelty items made with inexpensive materials. Those novelty cards are not opaque and are easy to see through, especially with lighter colored photos.
