Instructions for making your photo gift:
Your Digital Photos Can Easily Be Made into Memorable Gifts!

1-After you have taken your photo and uploaded it to your computer (usually with a USB cable connected to a port on the computer), you are ready to make your gift.
2- Select the Photo Product you would like to make.
3-Go to the Create-a-Page devoted to that product.
4-For Products with multiple sizes/colors/styles, from the drop down menu, select the one you would like.
5-You will need a digital photo or image in one of the following formats to upload: (jpg or png)
6- On the Create Page, click on the Browse button.  Your computer's directory will appear.  Go to the location where you have your photo stored (sometimes in My Documents---My Pictures or on your Desktop.) Remember, the higher quality your original photo, the higher quality  the finished product will be. Generally photos should be 100 kb or larger.
7- Once you find the photo, Click the thumbnail or photo name to select it.
8- Click the Upload button.
9- Once Your Photo is Uploaded and you see it on the Product, click on the photo to bring up Photo Editor. You can crop, zoom and change tint (black & white, sepia, or full color).
10- For some products, you can select orientation: Vertical or Horizontal.
11- You can preview your item (some items).

Photo Art FAQ

Q. I have a photo taken when my child was young. Can I use this for the fantasy photo art.

A. It depends on the pose. If you upload or email the photo to us, we can advise you of whether it can be used. 

Q. Can I see my transformed photo on the products before I purchase?

A. Because the art is created specifically for you from your photo, it is not possible to preview your photo on the products. Your photo art is not created yet. It is individually created by our digital artists. However, we understand you would like to "see" your art on the various products, and so we offer a preview of the photo art styles on the order page.

The preview shows the background you selected (in the case of Fairy, Elf, Dragon Rider, Baby Poems, and Caricatures), or the style of art you selected (Pop Art, Impressionist, Impasto, or Oil Painting).

Q. Can I order additional prints or products at a later date?

A. Yes, you may order prints or products using your photo art for up to a year after your most recent purchase. We will store your Photo Art images for one year. We store your uploaded images for 30 days. If you order a product using your uploaded image within 30 days we will have your image - if it is more than 30 days since that image was ordered you will need to re-upload the image.

Q. How long does it take for my photo art to be created?

A. It takes 3-5 business days for the artwork to be created and 2 business days for the photo gift to be made.  We suggest you plan on 7-10 days for creation of  your Photo Art Gift. It may take up to 5 days longer near holidays. We ship as quickly as possible, and sometimes it will be sooner than stated.

Q. What happens if the digital photo I send you is not suitable?

A.  It is important to read and follow the Guidelines on the "Create" pages. If those guidelines are followed, it is likely your photo will be fine. When you place an order our digital artist checks your image for suitability. If the photo won't work, we will provide you with instructions on how to create a better quality photo.

Q. What happens to the original photo I uploaded once the art creation has taken place?

A. We delete any digital photos you have sent us 30 days after your order.  We will store your photo art for one year from the most recent purchase date of that image.

Q. Can I buy the jpeg of my artwork?

A. Separate purchase of digital files (jgg) is available for all of our digital art (fantasy art, baby poems, caricatures, fine art, pop art, comic art).   You pay for the creation of the artwork once and then you are able to put that artwork on any of our products without incurring an additional Art Creation fee..

Q. Can I put my pet into a fantasy art background (make him a elf, dragon rider or fairy?).

A. Yes. We have had people do this with very interesting and fun results.  Our digital artists are quite talented, I've been told.

Q. Is your fantasy art just for children?

A.  No.  Several adults have made quite nice pieces of digital art of themselves as a fairy, elf or dragon rider.

Q. Can I include more than 1 person in a piece of fantasy art?  I wanted to have both my daughters in the fairy background.

A. Yes.  Select the fantasy background you would like and send us an email with the specifics (number of people, background, any other custom requests) and we will give you a price quote.

Q. Can I use a different pose than shown for a selected background?

A. Yes. We can further customize your art with the pose you choose for the background you select. You may view our sample poses or choose a different pose and our artists will incorporate that pose into the background you select.

General FAQ

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. We accept paypal and all major credit cards.

All of our payments, including those by credit card, are processed through PayPal. If you have trouble getting your payment to be accepted, here are some things to try -

1) Try using an alternate credit card.
2) Check your billing address. Sometimes the zip code you would use is listed in public records as being assigned to an adjacent town. Public records used for address verification can also contain errors or mis-spellings which can cause a card to be declined. If that happens, the only recourse is to call the credit-card processor which in this case is PayPal.
3) Call the PayPal customer service team at 1-888-221-1161. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist in getting your payment accepted.

Q. Where do you ship to?

A. We ship worldwide. To check the shipping price for your location, check the shipping page.  You may also add items to the cart to get  exact price for a particular order. Shipping rates are determined by shipping method, destination and the specific items being shipped. We discount shipping for multiple item orders.

Q. What file formats do you accept?

A. We accept JPG and PNG for uploaded photos for photo gifts. For photo art, we can accept JPG format only.

Q. I don't have a digital photo. How do I submit a regular photo?

A. Your photo must first be scanned and then submitted as a scanned photo. Photos should be scanned at a minimum of 300 dpi.

Q. Are there photos you cannot accept for photo gift or print production?

A. We can not accept copyrighted materials unless you own the copyright or have a release.  Photos taken by a professional photographer, photos lifted from websites, magazines or books, and photos of trademarked characters(Disney, etc.) are all protected by copyright. We also can not accept pornographic photos.
Photos with nudity in good taste are acceptable. Photos of a pornagraphic nature are not. If you are unsure if your photo meets the standard, please email us with your specific questions or send the photo for review prior to placing your order.

Q. Do you offer a guarantee? What is your return policy?

A. We stand behind all our work. It is of the highest quality and we are sure you will agree.  We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied, we will replace it or refund your money. Please contact us within 10 days of receipt of your item to arrange return or replacement.

Q. I want to make a collage product or add text to a photo gift and am having difficulties.  How do I do it?

A.  We are happy to help you with any questions or problems you might have in creating your collage gift. Just call us at 209-406-7393 or email us at info@images-n-stuff.com and we will be happy to assist you.

Collage and Custom Product FAQs

1) You must have Adobe Flash Player installed to run these programs. Get it here -

2) Start by selecting a background color or choose 'Images' to select one of your  photos to use as a background photo.

3) For each photo in your collage, drag the photo to the location you want and change its' size by  grabbing and dragging the corner handles. Rotate the photo by moving the handle located to the  right of the photo.

4) Continue with 'Images' until all your photos have been added to the collage. To change the  stacking sequence of your photos, click on the ' Up' or 'Down' buttons.

4) To view the design without the handles, click 'Unselect'.

5) To add text to your custom design, click 'Text ?'. Move and size the text box as desired. Delete the  text in the box and replace with your text. You can also change the font, font size and font color, box border  and border color using the controls on and under the Text Control Box.


Q. I am having difficulty using the design tools for photo gifts, party supplies or photo art. Help?

The design tool does not work on some MAC OS X systems. We are working to fix it. If you have problems, please use a Windows PC to create and order your product.

We will gladly offer a replacement or refund in the case of a quality issue - however, we cannot accept returns for items that were properly made according to your instructions.
